Web Design

We strive to create sites that are easy to navigate, logically organized, and pleasing to the eye. As an agency subcontractor, we have done a variety of web and usability-related projects for Verizon (former GTE), GTE SuperPages (see calendar samples), Texas Instruments, Fujitsu, Jack Daniel's, Canadian Mist (see web design sample), Ryder, and more. Below are a few samples of our work.

(Please note: we cannot post the majority of our web design work that we do for agencies because of client nondisclosure agreements.)

The Arrangers, "The First Casino Party Company in Texas," hired Stewart Design to create an engaging website to promote their successful full-service party planning business. Aiming for a high-end "Monte Carlo" look rather than a "Vegas" look, we selected a sophisticated red and black color scheme and included lots of photos of their extravaganzas. Check out the Arrangers... where the party begins!

Cindi's New York Deli asked Stewart Design to create a site that would capture the friendly neighborhood spirit of this popular Dallas establishment, and allow easy access to their extensive menus and daily specials list. We chose a deli counter navigational theme to visually reinforce the deli's extensive selection of bakery items, bagels, and deli favorites. Step on up to the counter and see what's cooking!

"[Thanks] for all the hard work and effort you've shown to me. The website is sure to help my business tremendously." —Anh Tran

Nationwide Financial contracted us to design a baseball-themed website, logo, and suite of printed materials that presented their fiduciary information in an inviting way. Using a baseball allegory with the plans presented as "teams" and funds as "players" ranked by "batting average" peformance, this dry information found new life in the ballpark. Batter up! (Note: this site is accessible only to authorized fiduciaries.)

The Texas Hall of State, built at Fair Park for the Texas centennial in 1936, needed an interactive kiosk to introduce visitors to the attractions in the Hall of State museum. Stewart Design presented the client with several design options and they chose this one which mimics the art deco elements of the entryway. Next time you're at the State Fair of Texas, be sure to drop by the Hall of State. The woodwork for the kiosk was created by the multi-talented Doyle Calvert, who also did the programming.

The Texas Council for the Humanities needed an easier way to navigate their extensive site of interactive exhibit collections and games. We redesigned the site so that all exhibit collections were easily visible with thumbnails and short descriptions on a single screen. Adding a standard header and navigation scheme helps keep visitors from getting lost. Phase II of this project will consist of creating a new layout for the exhibits themselves.

Michael Chatman, Motivational Speaker hired us to create a web presence to appeal to youth audiences and coordinators of youth-oriented speaking events. We selected a bright, energetic color scheme to capture Michael's dynamic speaking style, and included video clips of Michael in action. Michael has been called the "Voice and the Choice of Today's Youth"-- check out his website and find out why.

Luck's Music Library is the world's largest distributor of orchestral sheet music. With over 20,000 titles in stock, Luck's felt it wasn't feasible to list all their inventory online at this time. We guided them through the organizational process and presented them with this cost-saving alternative, which provides downloadable catalogs, answers to common questions, information about composers, and easy access to Luck's helpful staff. We also designed custom templates which could be easily modified by their own staff. Visit the site to see our solution.

Ingleside is a charming Bed & Breakfast located in Brenham, Texas (home of Texas's famous Bluebell Ice Cream). Our purpose was to create a simple site to allow future visitors to get a feel for the beauty and comfort of the 80-yr-old B&B, and encourage them to phone in for reservations. Step back in time and visit the Ingleside Inn.

Dallas Hermetic is a leader among independent compressor manufacturers. They hired us to redesign their site in a way that would allow visitors to find information more easily, and would allow Dallas Hermetic staff to update the site easily from their own location. The next phase of development will include online ordering capabilities. See the Dallas Hermetic website.
